    De FetHead Phantom van Triton Audio is een hoge kwaliteits in-line voorversterker met fantoomvoeding voor condensatormicrofoons. Deze plug je direct in een microfoon met een XLR-connector en komt dus tussen de kabel en de microfoon in te zitten. Daarnaast is hij uitstekend geschikt voor mobiele opnamen en geeft cameramicrofoons een aanzienlijke upgrade. De over het algemeen lage output van condensatormicrofoons vaart wel bij de FetHead Phantom. Het signaal wordt versterkt met 18 dB en het ruisniveau verlaagd waardoor de microfoon over ruim voldoende 'headroom' zal beschikken. Bovendien wordt de microfoon beschermd doordat de behuizing van de FetHead Phantom is afgeschermd van de in- en uitgang van de microfoon. Hierdoor wordt deze veilig van spanning voorzien.

Phantom blocker is een goede oplossing om de output van een apparaat dat verbonden is met de XLR input  van een mixing desk or preamp met Phantom power ingeschakeld te beschermen.  Important !Before connecting the device you wish to shield from Phantom power make sure Phantom blocker is attached, have Phantom power switched on and wait 5 seconds during which Phantom blockers internal bleeder resistors will cancel out voltage differences. Connecting in this order prevents the transfer of an initial AC voltage burst created by the Phantom power switching on.
