Product Description The SLX SL-M7000-B-I shifter by Shimano - I-Spec and Rapidfire Plus The Shimano SLX SL-M7000-B-I shifter can be combined with older brake levers to save space on the handlebar thanks to the I-Spec (B) mount. This also saves weight and ensures a tidy cockpit. In addition, it is possible to flexibly adjust the position of the shifter. Like the clamp version, the SL-M7000-B-I impresses with stable shifting, ergonomic design and minimal operating forces. Behind this is the proven Rapidfire Plus technology, with which up to three gear steps can be shifted down with one shift stroke, as well as the 2-Way Release function. This allows the release lever to be operated by pulling with the index finger or pushing with the thumb, thus releasing the low-friction Optislick cable in two directions. The SLX shifter is available in three versions - for the left as a 2-/3-speed shifter (no mode converter required) and for the right as a 10-speed or 11-speed shifter. Two levers, the main lever and the release lever, are used instead of a twist shifter. Rapidfire Plus shift levers, as the name suggests, ensure fast shifting. In addition, depending on the model, it is possible to downshift up to three gears with one shift stroke. 2-Way-Release With 2-Way-Release, the shifter can be pressed and pulled to shift to the smaller sprocket or chainring. This allows you to adjust the shifting process to your personal preferences. Most Rapidfire Plus shifters are equipped with 2-Way Release. I-Spec I-Spec enables the connection between the brake lever and shift lever on MTB derailleurs from Shimano. The main advantages are a cleaner look at the cockpit, more space on the handlebars and, of course, weight savings. Note from the manufacturer:The I-Spec shifters have a new mount (Version B) as of 2014. First of all, there is no compatibility with brake levers with the old I-Spec mount. However, they can be made compatible with the old I-Spec brake levers by using a connecting bolt , provided the handle diameter on the handlebar is smaller than 32 mm. For handlebar grip diameters from 32 to 36 mm, there is no possibility to combine the I-Spec B shifter with older I-Spec brake grips.
