Product Description The XTR SL-M9100-I Mono shifter by Shimano - one for both With the XTR SL-M9100-I Mono 2-speed shifter, Shimano replaces the familiar Rapidfire Plus and 2-Way Release technology with a revolutionary new way of working. This allows you to shift to the large and small chainring with just one lever. Push the lever forward to shift up and it will stay in this position. If you want to shift down again, press the lever again with your thumb or pull it with your index finger. The front derailleur could never be operated more intuitively, which clearly benefits focus while racing. Of course, the SL-M9100-I Mono Shifter features all the advantages of the innovative I-Spec EV assembly, namely extended position and rotational adjustment within the increased range provided by the integrative mounting of the shift and brake levers. The two rubber contact surfaces provide more grip and the 4x bearings stand for smooth, long-lasting function. Last but not least, the Instant Release Technology guarantees an immediate release of the shift cable. By the way, this one is polymer-coated and is supplied just like the cable housing. In contrast to regular Rapidfire Plus models, only one lever is installed here, which is used for both upshifting and downshifting. This is practical and accommodates natural finger positions. I-Spec EV I-Spec EV describes a variant of the connection between brake lever and shift lever on Shimano MTB derailleurs. This type of mounting allows the shifter to be adjusted both horizontally and vertically in relation to the brake lever, and ensures a tidy cockpit by reducing the number of clamps required.
