Product Description Shimano CUES FC-U4000-1 - Square crank with one chainring for city, touring and MTB The CUES square crankset FC-U4000-1 was designed by Shimano for Linkglide drivetrains on city, touring and mountain bikes. It is suitable for 1x9-speed, 1x10-speed and 1x11-speed gears. The special tooth profile of the chainring efficiently guides the chain even in rougher terrain and prevents it from jumping off. The size of the chainring is chosen so that it can be pedalled harmoniously and comfortably on different types of terrain. The 30 and 32-tooth versions have a chainline of 52 mm, which makes them compatible with frame over locknut dimensions of up to 148 mm. For the 40 and 42-tooth versions, the chainline is 50 mm, so only dimensions up to 142 mm are compatible. The Q-factor is 178 mm for all versions. The crank is made of aluminium and steel. The four-arm steel chainring is firmly riveted to the spider.
