De Musa variegata is een bijzondere plant die bijna nergens verkrijgbaar is. De nieuwe bladeren zijn donkergroen met lichtgele variegatie, die langzaam vervagen naar lichtgroen. Dit geeft een mooi contrast tegen de donkerbruine vlekken die deze plant van nature heeft. Deze plant groeit ontzettend snel en zijn bladeren kunnen enorm worden! Hoewel de groene variant van de Musa Dwarf Cavendish (bananenplant) inmiddels menig huishouden opfleurt, geeft deze variant nog een éxtra tropisch gevoel aan je plantencollectie. De bananenplant komt oorspronkelijk uit Zuidoost-Azië, maar heeft zich vanwege zijn bananen verspreid over meerdere tropische gebieden. Thuis zal deze plant niet snel bananen krijgen, maar zijn bonte bladeren maken dit helemaal goed.   Let op! - De bonte delen van de Musa zijn extra gevoelig, omdat die geen fotosynthese kunnen omzetten. Er geldt een kleine toeslag voor verzending van extra grote planten naar België.  De Musa dwarf cavendish, ook wel bekend als de bananenplant of dwergbanaan, is een prachtige groene kamerplant. De grote, groene bladeren met donkere vlekken zorgen voor een echt jungle-gevoel!  Naarmate de plant ouder wordt, zullen de donkere vlekken vervagen ofwel verdwijnen. Musa's komen vooral voor Zuid-Oost Azië en hebben zich vanuit daar verspreid naar andere gebieden. De naam 'dwarf' is een beetje misleidend. De kamerplant kan uiteindelijk wel 2 meter hoog worden, maar dit is nog klein vergeleken met andere soorten Musa's! In de zomer kan je deze bananenplant eventueel ook buiten in de schaduw zetten. Verder kan hij flink wat stekjes aanmaken, dus zorg er daarom voor dat hij een ruime pot staat zodat ze goed kunnen groeien. De Musa Dwarf Cavendish, vaak gewoon Bananenplant genoemd, is een indrukwekkende groene kamerplant met grote, glanzende bladeren.
