    Your Daily Male 2025: Every day a new man! The last 10 days of this calendar are dedicated to a special project. My father, Johannes van Stralen, created many dozens of paintings during his retirement years. The subjects for these were often taken from his (and my) home village of Grou in Friesland. Like the skûtsjes of Grou and it Hearrenfean on the Pikmeer near Grou. This image, with the addition of a large bearded man, graces the cover of Your Daily Male 2025. But holidays were also an inspiration for fine landscape paintings. Like the painting 'Fortmanterre Canigou area' pictured on 30 December. In that painting, two small figures can be seen, which are my mother and a friend of my parents. Many of the paintings he made were gifted to friends, family, acquaintances, neighbours. But his estate also included another series of paintings, which ended up in the attic with me and my youngest sister, without having found a new destination. At the end of 2023, I was in Munich and I also
