Wegenkaart - landkaart Pakistan | ITMB

Pakistan en heel Afghanistan op 1: 2.000.000 van Gizi Map met opvallende hoogtekleuren die duidelijk de fysieke geografie van deze landen en de omliggende regio weergeven, plus toeristische en administratieve informatie. De kaart toont de wegen- en spoornetwerken en benadrukt het verloop van de verschillende varianten van de Zijderoute en andere locaties van historisch belang.   De kaart geeft ook lokale administratieve grenzen en namen van de provincies aan. Alle plaatsnamen staan alleen in het Latijnse alfabet. Topografie wordt gepresenteerd door gewaagde hoogtekleuring met spothoogten, plus grafische aanduiding van woestijnen, moerassen en zoutvlaktes, enz.,   En de kaart heeft veel namen van bergketens, valleien en verschillende andere geografische kenmerken. Breedtegraad- en lengtegraadlijnen worden getekend met intervallen van 1 °. De index die naast de kaart wordt geplaatst, geeft alleen locaties in Pakistan weer. Legenda van kaarten is in het Engels.  

Tweetalige kaart (Engels en Duits). Door ingetekende lengte- en breedtegraden is het gebruik van GPS mogelijk. Met hoogtelijnen en uitgebreid wegennetwerk: daarnaast worden ook de afstanden tussen belangrijke plaatsen duidelijk leesbaar weergegeven. Het kleurgebruik is zodanig dat je een goede indruk krijgt van hoogteverschillen en soorten landschap. Natuurlijk staan de toeristische bezienswaardigheden duidelijk vermeld.   Gedrukt op water- en scheurvast papier! Polyart is een synthetisch product vrij van giftige stoffen dus duurzaam. Het papier gaat echt lang mee.   Topography is indicated by altitude colouring with numerous spot heights and names of mountain ranges and passes. This is our third edition of this country and each one keeps getting better. We can’t justify sending a researcher into a combat zone to gather data, but we are thankful to those aid workers and soldiers who have added to our information base and helped make this map more useful. Wegenkaart met tevens aanduidingen van Nationale Parken en reservaten. Stadsplattegrond van Caracas 1:25.000 en kaart 1:500.000 van omgeving Caracas. This is another one of our brand new maps. The artwork has been digitally-prepared, and this time printed double-sided to achieve a MUCH better scale. We have included a regional inset map of the Caracas area, and insets of the Roraima Mountains region, but the size of Venezuela is such that the rest of the paper consists solely of the country itself. The southern portion remains relatively unexplored and undeveloped, with few roads and only the occasional settlement, and the northern coastal region shows the road network very well. This is the first new map of Venezuela in many years. ITMB, after only thirty years on the go, finally gets around to publishing a map of Canada. When we first started mapping, there was a pressing need for good maps of Central and South America, then of Africa, then etc etc and we never found time to concentrate on our own country until fairly recently. This map was prepared by Natural Resources Canada and is, as a result, as accurate a map as one could hope to have. We are very proud of it, and very pleased to be able to use such top-rate cartography. The map covers all of the land mass of Canada, from its southernmost point to the top of Ellesmere Island and from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific. It’s an excellent map, but I’m going to give one proviso. Canada is the second-largest country on the face of the planet and there is no way that a single-sided sheet can portray…

IThe large island off the east coast of Africa is Madagascar. The actual name of the country is the Malagasy Republic, but the public is much more likely to know the country by its island name, so we call our map by the island’s name, rather than using the country name. Makes sense to us! Regardless, this is a major touristic destination. The double-sided map covers the island in great detail, with an inset map of the capital city, Antananarivo. As with other ITMB maps, this one includes a listing of ‘must see’ attractions, such as Tsingy National Park and the famous Lemur’s Park. The island also has a regular surface route to the Comoro Islands, which are also included on this map.
