This is a brand new title for ITMB. Denver, the ‘mile-high’ city on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, is a vibrant, fairly modern city. It is the state capital, and the gold-coated dome of the legislative building highlights the wealth and strength of the state. The Denver Zoo is becoming one of the great attractions of the city, as are the Center for Performing Arts and the Museum of Science and Nature. Larimer Square is the focal point for entertainment, and Coors Field for sports. Our map shows a wide-ranging number of accommodations and eateries, and notes all points of interest. The State of Colorado map fills the reverse side of the sheet and, due to the positioning of the state’s boundaries, nicely fills the 40x28 sheet size of the map. ITMB is gradually mapping the entire USA in appropriate scales. Most States fit fairly well into the 1:500 to 1:750T scale, and Utah is perfect for mapping. It is also a perfectly nice place to visit, so we are pleased to add it to our program. This map shares a sheet with Colorado, so please note that the ordering information is the same. Utah is Mormon country and the temple in Salt Lake City is a sight to see. The Great Salt Lake to its west is interesting to view, but more popular is the Bonneville Salt Flats at its western edge, where so many speed records have been won. The USA is a vast and wonderful land to explore. ITMB is steadily increasing our coverage of this important travel destination and this month concentrates on the State of Wyoming, with a detailed travel map on one side, including small portions of adjacent states of Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana, and Idaho. The state is lightly populated, with Cheyanne as its capital and main city. Interstates 80 and 90 both traverse the state, with Interstate 25 being the only north-south motorway. Yellowstone National Park occupies the northwest corner of the state and also occupies the second side of the sheet with an extremely detailed map. Yellowstone is the first area in the world to be proclaimed as a national protected area (Banff was second), and Yellowstone remains the paramount preserved wilderness environment in the world. ITMB, after only thirty years on the go, finally gets around to publishing a map of Canada. When we first started mapping, there was a pressing need for good maps of Central and South America, then of Africa, then etc etc and we never found time to concentrate on our own country until fairly recently. This map was prepared by Natural Resources Canada and is, as a result, as accurate a map as one could hope to have. We are very proud of it, and very pleased to be able to use such top-rate cartography. The map covers all of the land mass of Canada, from its southernmost point to the top of Ellesmere Island and from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific. Australia is a very large country. It is also very unevenly populated, with most of the people living close to the eastern coast. Brisbane is the second-largest city in Australia, and the preferred landing spot for most international flights. This makes Brisbane an attractive point of entry to Australia for visitors. The city has several attractions, which are noted on the map, several transit lines, also noted, and an interesting ferry boat system along the Brisbane River. The city is also the capital of Queensland, which occupies the north-east quarter of the continent and fills the second side of the map. Our map of the state stretches from the northern tip of Cape York to beyond the southern boundary of the state to just south of Sydney, in New South Wales. Als overzichtskaart goed te gebruiken We're introducing a map of the US Southwest States, notably most of California and Nevada, Arizona, most of Utah, and the western third of New Mexico and Colorado. Our regional series is at 1:1M scale. This results in instances where the name of the map may differ from the common perception. In US parlance, the 'Southwest' is often thought to be Arizona and New Mexico, whereas in reality it is southern California, Nevada, and Arizona. If one includes New Mexico, the square sheet of paper has to go so far north that one ends up including Denver. This is our compromise and we'll figure out how to deal with Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Oklahoma a bit further down the line. United States of America (USA) Travel Reference Map has been mapped before, but the USA is a huge country, extremely developed, and almost impossible to show on a map without over-simplification. Most commercial maps use small sheets of paper and print single-sided, making it impossible to show this vast country to advantage. Well, Lan’s been hard at work developing a ‘proper’ traveller’s aid to navigating around the USA, and here it is. We printed it on an exceptionally large sheet of paper, 39” tall by 54” wide (our normal printing size is 27”x39”). To do this, we merged our four existing databases into one, then split them so that the west side is on one side and the east side on the other. What results is a very large sheet, but a map at a VERY good scale. We were able to fit in 6,765 urban areas, all the Int…

This is the latest American regional map that ITMB has published. This one covers Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and parts of Idaho, New Mexico, and Arizona. It is, of course, the southern extension of the Canadian Rockies map through Blue Sky Montana and Mile High Denver. This is a double-sided map concentrating on roads and road quality, parks, touristic attractions, and urban areas. We feel that the state-by-state approach to mapping the USA just does not work well. With todays infrastructure and vehicular capability, one can pass through three or four states in a normal day drive. Legend Includes: Roads by classification, US Divided Highway, Mountain peak, State park, National park, Ferry Route, Historic Route 66, Hot Spring, Museum, Skiing, Beach, Cave and much more.

This is a new title for ITMB, in that it is the first time we have mapped the State of Washington. The actual area of the map includes Portland and northern Oregon and Vancouver and the border area with the USA. A small portion of Idaho is also shown. Wilderness campsites, parks such as Rainier, Olympic, and Baker, are shown. Seattle as a city, stretches far beyond the confines of a practical map in that it stretches from Everett to Tacoma. Our map covers from the University in the north to the Beacon Hill neighbourhood in the south and from the waterfront to Lake Washington. An inset map of the greater region is included.
