    The TAD KT66 is our remake of the great British KT66 by MOV (MO Valve), GEC, Genalex and Gold Lion. This tube is THE REAL THING. It has a large curved glass envelope and a rounded brown base. Desert Sand was used by General Motors as a paint color for their first Cadillacs. Fender started using it in the late 50's, especially on their Musicmaster and Duo-Sonic models.     TAD 7025-WB Highgrade Premium Selected is a low noise, super low microphonic selected version of the 12AX7 that meets all specifications required for the tube to be designated 7025 and SPAX7® The TAD 7025WB Highgrade is tested and meticulously selected for the lowest noise and microphonics for use in the critical first preamp stages of High-Gain guitar amplifiers where noise and microphonics could be an issue.It has a balanced tone with a little emphasis on the upper mid-range that gives a nice string attack and clarity to the sound while retaining a strong and defined bottom end. It will also do equally well in vintage guitar amplifiers. If used in sensitive phono preamps the tube adds freshness to the signal without being harsh or spiky.
