This reduces friction on the cassette and chainring. The result: low-noise performance and longer component life. The chain design allows for a narrower profile. Hard Chrome™: The chain has a four times higher (wear) strength than the other SRAM chains. This is due to the new machining process for the inner links and rollers. PowerLock™ SRAM chain manufacturers have developed PowerLock™ as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect SRAM chains. X-Sync™: X-Sync™ 1x chainrings by SRAM provides the highest performance and durability. Long SRAM X-Sync™ tooth edges grip the chain earlier than standard triangular teeth.
