Product Description The BR-M9110 XTR Flat-Mount Disc Brake by Shimano - Compact racing model The BR-M9110 is a disc brake from Shimano's high-end XTR series, whose rear brake caliper is attached to the frame via a flat mount and is compatible with 140 mm and 160 mm brake rotors. Front wheel use is not possible. As a very light 2-piston model, it is aimed at cross-country racers, especially as it comes with resin pads with a titanium backing plate. The flat mount standard is proven technology known from the road bike sector, and has the advantage of a compact design that blends in pleasantly with the bike's appearance. The braking power is in no way inferior to that of the BR-M9100 post-mount brake. The brake caliper is made of anodised aluminium and has a straight line connection; the pistons are made of heat-resistant ceramic. The disc brake also includes the XTR BL-M9100 brake lever, which has a modified clamp compared to its predecessor. This now sits more centrally and is angled so that the expansion tank can rest on the handlebars. More stiffness, a more direct brake feel and more control are the result. Added to this is the innovative I-Spec EV system for integrating a compatible shift lever, which opens up additional customisation options. Braking force, lever travel and reaction time have also been optimised. The brake lever is also intended for cross-country racing use and therefore designed for weight optimisation, which is shown, for example, by the lever made of carbon, the master cylinder made of magnesium or the omission of a pressure point adjustment system. You can adjust the grip width with a 2 mm hex tool. You can also combine the brake with Ice-Tech pads for even better heat dissipation.
