Shimano recommends them as a supplement for 10- to 12-speed drivetrains at SLX and Deore level. However, it also fits CUES 9-speed, 10-speed and 11-speed drivetrains or 8-speed setups at Acera and Altus level. The hub is approved for use on e-bikes and is recommended by Shimano for the EP8 and EP6 series. It features an appropriate ratio between weight and stiffness as well as solid cartridge bearings. A double sealing system extends the service life. The hub body is made of lightweight aluminium with an anodised finish. Use this hub for spoke diameters of 2 or 2.3 mm.
