It was designed for use on road or city bikes with flat handlebars, i.e. without a drop bar. The SL-RS700 is equipped with MTB's Rapidfire Plus technology, allowing multiple gears to be downshifted at once, and features the 2-Way Release function, which allows the release lever to be operated with the index finger (pull) or thumb (push).
