De Shimano Deore BR-M6100 hydraulische schijfremmen bieden een betrouwbare remkracht in alle omstandigheden. Net als bij de Shimano remmen in het hogere segment, maakt ook deze Deore M6100 rem gebruik van Shimano's Ice Technology. Dankzij deze technologie wordt de warmte een stuk beter afgevoerd. Hierdoor raakt de rem minder snel oververhit in langere afdalingen, zodat je minder remkracht verliest. De hendel van deze Shimano Deore BR-M6100 remmen is instelbaar, zodat deze ook goed af te stellen is voor fietsers met kleinere handen. Daarnaast is de hendel met twee vingers te bedienen, zodat je de rest van de hand kunt gebruiken om het stuur vast te houden. De shifter kun je dankzij Shimano's I-Spec EV techniek eenvoudig monteren aan de rem. De I-Spec EV techniek maakt het daarnaast mogelijk om de positie van de shifter zowel horizontaal als verticaal af te stellen, zodat deze voor jou op de beste positie komt te staan. Geleverd als J-Kit Deze Shimano Deore BR-M6100 hydraulische schijfremmen worden geleverd als J-Kit. Dit betekent dat de leiding is gemonteerd aan de remklauw en ontlucht is, maarnog niet vastgemaakt is aan de remhendel. Hierdoor is deze set ook geschikt voor mountainbikes met interne kabelgeleiding. Je kunt de leiding door het frame trekken en monteren aan de remhendel, maar hoeft daarna niet te ontluchten. Zo kun je dus snel weer het bos in!
