Rycote staat bekend om zijn uitstekende kwaliteit shockmounts en windschermen. Met deze vernieuwde Cyclone-serie is de kwaliteit nog verder doorgevoerd. Zo is het befaamde 3D-Tex ontwerp, feitelijk de korf om uw microfoon heen, nu nog beter uitgevoerd waardoor wind efficiënter wordt afgeschermd. Wanneer u accurate en gefocuste opnamen wenst te maken met uw condensatormicrofoon (of de kortere shotgun-microfoons) dan kunt u niet om de Rycote Cyclone heen. Tevens is het onderstel verbeterd en wordt contactgeluid nu bij de bron aangepakt waardoor trillingen niet verder resoneren richting de microfoon zelf. De Rycote Cyclone Small kit wordt uitgegeven in drie varianten: de XLR-, LEMO- en MZ- module.
