    Met het album Mist maakt Vreemde Kostgangers de trilogie vol. “Het is een waardig slotakkoord voor een illuster trio”, zegt Boudewijn de Groot. Met Henny Vrienten en George Kooymans vormde hij het drietal dat in hechte samenwerking een blijvend oeuvre schiep. Dat blijkt ook nu weer, in de dertien songs van Mist. De songs zijn samen gemaakt, maar dragen herkenbare handtekeningen. Zoals van Vrienten. Tijd Tekort (met de zin 'zal ik ooit aan liggen kunnen wennen') klinkt nu wrang, maar het relativerend filosofische Niet Wederzijds en de liefdevolle afsluiter Zeg Me typeren toch de lichtvoetige lyricus. Maar Mist wordt evenzeer gedragen door de andere kostgangers. Kooymans bezingt zijn 88 gitaren in Fender Strat, is grappig in Lippen en voert De Liefde Kent Geen Tijd van Thé Lau uit.
