Hij toonde me een memo van drie pagina's, afkomstig van "an outside source" waarin opmerkelijke dingen over mijn komende boek werden gezegd. De source was kennelijk de militaire inlichtingendienst. Het was "didactic in nature but negative about the SADF." Ook werd het boek beschouwd als hogelijk kritisch ten aanzien van de politieke leiders van de regerende Nationale Partij. "You speak in your book of their mental competence in a denigrating manner." Verder wordt de NP ook als racistisch omschreven. Dat haal je de donder, wat zijn ze dan?
