Advanced lug design provides additional grippy edges and reinforced side lugs offer increased stability in fast corners. An all trail tyre suitable for everything from easy trails to difficult enduro tracks. Note from the manufacturer: Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-based sealant. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after only a few months, depending on the amount used. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres. Double Down Double Down tyres are constructed just like the downhill tyres from Maxxis. However, the two carcass layers, which are reinforced with a butyl inlay, each have 120 (instead of 60) tpi. Combined with the aramid bead, this makes the tyres considerably lighter. Wide Trail (WT): This design optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrower rims and become square on wider rims, resulting in a less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension of 30 - 40 mm. Tubeless Ready Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is reduced. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other " tubeless ready" tyres. The bead of the Maxxis TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. As a result, tubeless mounting is successful for all rims with standard dimensions even during the first inflation and with little liquid.
