Lord of the Rings Statue Orthanc 18 cm
Lord of the Rings Statue Orthanc 18 cm
Imposing over the lands like a dark giant; a lone figure of dominating magnitude, striking awe and wonder at both its purpose and construction, stood the inimitable tower: Orthanc.Standing in the centre of the Ring of Isengard was a great stone tower of polished black. Hewn from a monolith of dark rock centuries ago by the arts long since forgotten, the Tower of Orthanc stood sharp and hard against a field of green trees and soaring snow-capped mountains. In the waning years of the Third Age it was home to the Wizard Saruman, and within its dark chambers he spent his days studying the ways of the enemy, that he might better understand and ultimately defeat him. A Palantír Saruman kept; one of the ancient seeing stones of Númenor. Many long hours the Wizard spent staring into this magical sphere, watching Sauron, believing himself wise and powerful, and resistant to the devices of his foe. Yet in truth Saruman's own pride and folly led him willingly into Sauron's trap, for he became ena…

Lord of the Rings Life Size Bust 1/1 Saruman 110 cm
Lord of the Rings Life Size Bust 1/1 Saruman 110 cm
The Lord of the Rings has had a huge and far-reaching impact on European and American fantasy literature since its birth. The Middle-earth created by Tolkien is based on infinite fantasies and echoes the complexity of the real world. Through the disputes and inheritance of elves, humans, dwarves, orcs and other races, it writes an epic narrative and a paean to courage and friendship. In April 2002, the first film in the Lord of the Rings series was released in mainland China. With the publication of Tolkien's original novel at the same time, the love and yearning for Middle-earth began to take root. The series won various visual effects, makeup, costume and music awards, and the soul-shaking story and aesthetic experience also made it a difficult existence to replicate. Today, more than 20 years later, the former teenagers have grown up, and the love for the characters of The Lord of the Rings buried in their hearts has become the determination to break the limitations of the screen an…

Lord of the Rings Statue Gandalf on Gwaihir 15 cm
Lord of the Rings Statue Gandalf on Gwaihir 15 cm
Immortal beings many times the size of ordinary birds of prey, the Great Eagles of the Misty Mountains flew so high that the only the sharp eyes of Elves could discern them in the blue.Invisible and untouchable, their mastery of the sky was unrivalled till Saurons Ringwraiths took to the air upon the backs of fell winged beasts during the War of the Ring. Even the Dragons of old could not match their aerial prowess, and so keen was their sight that they marked even the stirring of a mouse upon the mountainside. Orcs tread openly on the slopes at their peril, and Wargs kept to the deep forests where trees shielded their passing. In the days of the Third Age the mightiest of the Eagles was Gwaihir the Windlord. Friend to Gandalf the Grey, he bore the Wizard upon his back and more than once flew to his aid when great need called.Size: 10,3 x 15 x 10,3 cm

Productomschrijving

Once the head of the Order of the Istari and a truly great and wise Wizard, Saruman the White fell into darkness and became an agent of evil during the War of the Ring. Too long he studied the ways of his enemy, believing that in better understanding Sauron's nature he might discern a means of victory. Using one of the lost Seeing Stones of Númenor, the Wizard sought to spy upon the Dark Lord, but was tricked into communing with him through the polished black orb. It was a contest of wills that Saruman lost.

Lured by promises of power and dark thoughts of his own mastery, Saruman fell from his purpose and abandoned his allies. In his arrogance he believed himself capable of usurping Sauron's place. Even as he did his new master's bidding, the corrupted Wizard plotted a second betrayal. Yet in doing so he overreached, for pride and lust for power had blinded Saruman and the Eye of Sauron perceived his treachery through the lens of the palantir. The downfall of Saruman, once the leader of the White Council, was doomed to be written in blood.

Expertly sculpted by Gary Hunt, a member of the original Lord of the Rings crew, Saruman the White will make an excellent addition to your Weta Workshop miniatures collection.
