Yalla Yalla! is an innovative and effective method to start learning the Arabic language. Yalla Yalla! Part 1 takes you halfway to level A1. You will learn how to greet and thank people, and have simple conversations about yourself and your family. You will also learn how to read and write simple texts. There is a significant difference between written and spoken Arabic. Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is used for reading and writing, but in everyday life, a dialect derived from MSA is used. In Dutch, this method consists of a textbook, a workbook, a writing practice guide (all aimed at MSA) and three dialect supplements. The textbook and workbook contain dialogues, listening activities, reading texts, explanations of grammar, the Arabic alphabet and culture, and glossaries.
