    De UNESCO-organisatie heeft onlangs de beslissing genomen om Reggae als genre toe te voegen aan de lijst van 'The Intangible Cultural Heritage Of Humanity'. Het reggae collectief Inna De Yard - met als frontmannen / zangers Cedric Myton, Kiddus I, Ken Boothe en Winston McAnuff - juicht deze beslissing uiteraard van harte toe, omdat ook zij met Inna De Yard al meer dan 10 jaar staan voor deze speciale Jamaicaanse muzikale cultuur 'in the purest and most intense way, gathering the very best of le endary reggae music from the Bob Marley-era'. Het zijn echter niet enkel de 'oudjes', zoals de 72-jarige Cedric Myton - oprichter en frontman van The Congos, maar zeker ook jonge talenten die deel uitmaken van Inna De Yard. Zolang ze maar opkomen voor 'traditional real roots reggae'. Het nieuwe album is geproduceerd door het Chapter Two-label en de songs werden opgenomen 'outdoor in the yards of Kingston, as they did in the 60's and early 70's'. De toevoeging 'The Soundtrack' geeft inderdaad aa dat dit gaat om een muzikale omlijsting bij een film. De bekende Engelse regisseur Peter Webber schoot zijn beelden en deed zijn interviews tijdens de opnamen van het nieuwe album 'telling the artistic, human and political story of Inna De Yard'. In de documentaire volgt Webber de 'key members of this collective' ook in hun dagelijkse doen en ze kijken terug op hun roemruchte verleden ; 'roots reggae revisited'!Live-datum - 13 juni - Melkweg - Amsterdam
