The narrow part is narrow enough for mandolin frets, the wide part is wide enough for jumbo frets. Crown file for small (R=1mm), medium (R=2mm) or wide frets (R=3mm) frets.The diamond surface makes for clean, precise and fast filing. The material is very durable and this file will last a very long time. Diamond files work on both strokes, back and forth. It will leave a smoother surface without chattering.
