Als het tijd is om de hamer te laten vallen en beklimmingen te verpletteren, is de Peak fietsband de snelheidsduivel van het mountainbiken. Een rond profiel, een dicht bij elkaar geplaatst loopvlak en een soepel karkas dragen bij aan de lage rolweerstand van Peak banden, terwijl er voldoende tractie en remprestaties worden geleverd dankzij de randen op elke knop en het multidimensionale Dynamic:A / T-compound. Een draadband die functioneel is zonder binnenband, maar die afdichtmiddel nodig heeft om de bandenspanning te behouden zoals gedefinieerd door ISO 4223-1. Een tubeless ready fietsband maakt gebruik van een met butyl bedekte hiel om de band tegen de velg af te dichten. Over het algemeen wordt de velg afgedicht met een niet-poreuze tape, terwijl voor het karkas van de band afdichtmiddel nodig is om lucht vast te houden.
