This guide offers 30 circular day walks in the western half of Provence, the large sun-kissed coastal region of south-east France. Spanning from the Baronnies in the north to the Ste-Baume ridge in the south, the walks are set in the areas of the Drôme Provençale, Vaucluse and the Var. De Gentiana dahurica of Gentiaan is een schitterende vaste plant. In de maanden juli en augustus verschijnen er prachtig gekleurde blauwe bloemen aan de plant. Het is een winterharde plant die niet hoger wordt dan ongeveer 30 cm. Het liefst staat de plant op een plaats in de zon of halfschaduw. In de winter sterft de plant af. Knip de plant in het voorjaar helemaal terug, dan loopt deze weer opnieuw uit. Ook is het erg belangrijk bij het aanplanten Tuinplantengrond te voegen.
