Geeft hij de groenze zone aan, dan betekend het dat de belt op de goede spanning staat. Product Description The Universal Transmissions Spring Tension Tester is a gauge for the professionally-equipped workshop to measure and check the tension of Gates belts. It works with an integrated ruler, a scale with pointer and a measuring stone that is pretensioned by a spring and uses the deflection of the belt as a measure of the current belt tension. A correctly tensioned belt is essential for the belt drive to function optimally, so that it neither skips nor runs too heavily, thus avoiding increased wear. Common tension adjustment systems include inclined or vertical dropouts, horizontally sliding dropouts (not recommended by Gates) and eccentric bottom brackets.
