The biggest challenge was to combine the necessary body proximity for a back protector with a maximum amount of air circulation. The close-fitting back area has been fitted with 2 rows of " ventilation grilles" in addition to a large, central ventilation channel. At the heart of the system is the extra wide, ergonomically-shaped neoprene hip belt with hook & loop fasteners and large heavy-duty buckles, which transfers the main load to the hips and falls precisely on the centre of gravity of the body. The ergonomically-cut shoulder straps hold the backpack comfortably in position. The body proximity necessary for a back protector is optimised for maximum ventilation by using Air Mesh elements, EVA padding with ventilation slots and a large ventilation channel in the centre. Liteshield Back Protector The segmented layered structure of the Liteshield back protector, developed originally for motorcycle sports, combines optimal shock absorption with the highest possible comfort. The shock absorption of the Liteshield back protector is almost twice as high as required by CE standards (Maximum Impact Protection). The Liteshield back protector weighs only 145 g (Extra Light). The segmented layer construction (Comfort Layer Construction) allows the back to adapt to the contours of the spine (Adapts flexibly to spine). The shock absorption of the Liteshield back protector is not affected by varying temperatures - proven for temperatures from +30 to -20° Celsius (Temperature Insensitivity). Air Circulation System The evoc Air Circulation System: Intelligent ventilation slots in the shoulder straps provide improved air circulation in the shoulder and neck area (Ventilated Shoulder Straps). The back area is equipped with large ventilation channels. This minimises overall contact area and allows accumulated heat to escape through the sides as well as up and down (ventilation channels). The micro-ventilated padding of the back surface ensures perfect air circulation and heat dissipation directly on the contact surfaces (Micro Ventilated Back Pads). When it comes to performance, weight also plays a major role. By using nylon as the upper material and exclusively using the lightest components, evoc can offer real lightweight backpacks. Weighing in at only 270 grams, evoc hits ranges where even the average T-shirt weighs more (Extra Light). Airo Flex Airo Flex is an extremely stable fabric that is both air-permeable and flexible. It is used by evoc on the highest quality backpacks to guarantee both an optimal load transfer to the hips and superior comfort thanks to maximum ventilation. Nylon 210/D Ripstop PU-coated The requirements for the perfect outer material for backpacks can be summarised in four properties: durable, abrasion-resistant, water-repellent and light. This is exactly what Nylon 210/D Ripstop offers. A double PU coating on the lightweight nylon base material provides moisture protection and abrasion resistance. A microfibre fabric divides the base material into square segments to prevent the expansion of tears - hence the name Ripstop. P600/D PU-coated P600/D is a polyamide fabric with outstanding abrasion resistance and high resilience. Cut polyamide fibres are spun and woven again, which further stabilises the structure of the material. Making it the optimal material for highly strained bags or bottoms of bags and backpacks. Air Mesh Air Mesh has pores that allow for optimal air circulation, but are small enough to prevent moisture absorption. This characteristic makes it the perfect material for the back parts of evoc protector backpacks. 3D Air Mesh The three-dimensional textured fabric with different thread thicknesses (P75D*30D) provides optimal ventilation and cushioning properties for back panels and shoulder straps. neoprene Known from water sports, neoprene also has optimal properties to suit high-quality backpacks.
