Dit is het kleine broertje van het gewone 250K mono-volumepedaal uit deze reeks pedalen. De potentiometer van dit volume pedaal heeft een 250k Ohm weerstand die alleen geschikt is voor het audio-pad van passieve instrumenten. Achter het jackpaneel onder de voetplaat is een schuine schakelaar gemonteerd waar u twee verschillende volumedeiningen mee kunt bepalen.

De Ernie Ball 6182 MVP Most Valuable Pedal is een volumepedaal die zijn naam eer aandoet. Het pedaal beweegt enorm soepel op en neer, zodat je exact het volume kunt bepalen. Daarnaast kun je zelf een minimum volume instellen. Welk volume je ook hanteert, nergens boet je in qua hoge frequenties. Bovendien is het mogelijk je volume een boost tot wel 20 dB te geven. Flexibiliteit karakteriseert dit pedaal, wat ook de reden is dat dit pedaal geschikt is voor zowel actieve als passieve elektronica. Daarnaast heb je de keuze qua voeding: je kunt kiezen voor een 9VDC/100 mA adapt of een 9V batterij. Deze laatste wordt meegeleverd. Tot slot is zowel mono als stereo mogelijk.

Dit volume- en expressiepedaal laat je toe om het volume van je gitaar haarfijn te controleren en is daarmee een belangrijke schakel op je pedalboard. Dit analoge effect heeft zelf geen stroom nodig, maar het is wel compatibel met zowel passieve als actieve pedalen.
